Ticketing

When & Where Can I Purchase Tickets?

  • Tickets are available online via the district athletic website through Exit. Any questions regarding issues while purchasing your ticket online, please contact Exit Customer Service at 1-800-514-3849.
  • Cash ticket purchases are available in the Cavalier Activity Center (CAC), Monday through Friday during regular office hours. Ticket sales will end at 12pm on Fridays.
  • Tickets will go on sale at 8 AM each game week.
  • All tickets are single game tickets and are specific to one game time. We ask that spectators exit the stands after the completion of their child’s game.

Who Can Purchase Tickets?

  • Each participant on the HOME TEAM roster has access to four (4) tickets per game.

Team Info

  • Visitor team entrance is on the backside of the gym (See Map Below). 
  • Locker rooms are not available for visiting teams. 
  • ALL (home and visitor) “On Deck” teams must sit in the designated area (see map below). Players must not warm up in the hallway prior to on mat warm up. 
  • Matches will take place on alternating mats. Each mat will be disinfected after each mat. 
  • Students or staff participating in any post-game interviews must wear a face covering and maintain at least six feet of distance between the interviewer and individual being interviewed. 
  • Spectators may not gather/mingle on the fields or courts at any time. 
  • All participants and spectators must leave the venue as soon as the competition is finished. 
  • Parents waiting to pick up their student from the game or event must wait in their car or outside of the facility and continue to maintain six feet of distance from other groups.

All wrestlers will have a checkout sheet that lists the items issued to them. Each Wrestler should take a picture of their sheet.

Seating

  • HOME side seating will be available for all spectators.

  • Due to social distancing requirements, seats will be blocked off in sets of two (2) in the pattern of two seats open, two seats closed. Groups of four will be required to sit in sets of two.

  • Yellow tape will span across alternating rows to designate the row is unavailable.

  • Yellow “X” stickers will designate individual seats that are unavailable. 

General Information

  • Doors open 15 minutes prior to the start of each match. Spectators should wait outside of the building until the game arrival window is open.
  • Visitors and students 10 years of age or older must wear a cloth face covering upon entry to an area where UIL activities are being conducted.
  • All fans will be required to exit the gym and building after each game in order to meet capacity limits.
  • All spectators and teams must enter the gyms facility through the main entrance, shown on the map below.
  • Designated entrances and exits for each gym (Round & Aux) are displayed on the map below.
  • Concessions are NOT available. As a result, spectators may bring a water bottle into the event. Drink containers, cups, and jugs are not allowed. This includes YETI style tumblers and restaurant cups.

Parents will place orders and pay online for each tournament.

An email will be sent out closer to the season with further instruction

Self Travel Release Form

Parents or legal guardians who wish to transport their student-athlete to and/or from an athletic event must submit this form for each date in which an alternate method to the team transport will be used. Students will not be allowed to transport themselves to and/or from events.

Lake Travis Wrestling Head Coach

In the fall of 2013, the Lake Travis Wrestling program began its first year of UIL competition. The wrestling team had eight team members and coach Smith was the first head coach (three of those members were the sons of coach Smith) The Lake Travis wrestling team has come a long way since that first season. Under the direction of Coach Smith, the team has crowned multiple district champions, regional champions and state tournament medal winners. The current team has over 50 members and is considered one of the top teams in the State. Before coming to Lake Travis Coach Smith began his Texas coaching career at the Austin Bowie High School. Smith spent twelve seasons coaching the Bulldogs (1998-2010) in those twelve seasons his teams won eleven district championships, four regional championships, placed in the top ten at the state tournament six times and finished as state tournament runner up. After leaving Bowie, Coach Smith joined the Leander Lions staff as head wrestling coach (2010- 2013) in his tree years at Leander Coach Smith qualified twelve wrestlers for the state tournament, three state medalist and one state champion. During his career, coach Smith has been honored as region 6 NFHS Coach of the year 2006, Texas wrestling Hall of honor 2010-, and three-time regional Coach of the year.

Coach Smith attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor of Science in education degree At UCO Smith was a two sport athlete. He earned all American honors in both football and wrestling. Coach Smith is married to his wife of 28 years Mary Allen. They are the proud parents of four children, Robert, Mary Kevan Maynard and Christopher

Tanner Volpe

Lake Travis Wrestling Assistant Coach

Coach Tanner Volpe has been with the Lake Travis Wrestling team since 2019. Coach Volpe is originally from the Lake Travis area, calling it home since he was in 2nd grade. While in High school, he played football throughout his 4 years for the Cavaliers. 

After graduating from LT in 2014, Coach Volpe attended Baylor University in Waco, TX. After graduation  in 2018 with a degree in Business for Secondary Education,  he interned  at University High School and Midway High School before making his way back home to Lake Travis.

In the 2019-2020 wrestling season, Coach Volpe helped the LT wrestling program produce 7 State Qualifiers and 2 State Placers.

He currently teaches Sports and Entertainment Marketing and Social Media Marketing. Along with coaching the wrestling team, Coach Volpe also coaches Track.

Lake Travis Wrestling Assistant Coach

Coach Jim Tatom’s coaching career began in 2010, he joined the coaching staff at Lake Travis in 2020. Along with coaching wrestling, Coach Tatom also teaches Criminal Investigations and Law Enforcement classes at Lake Travis High School.

Prior to starting at LT Coach Tatum was the Assistant Coach at Harker Heights High School helping to rebuild the program. While there, he was influential in recruiting and continually finding ways to strengthen the program

Prior to his time in Killeen, Tatom was the Coach at Serra High School in San Diego, Ca where he developed the girls’ wrestling program. Before leaving California, he helped produce 6 regional qualifiers and 2 state qualifiers for the school. Tatom was also a volunteer coach in Lafayette, LA for Comeaux High School.

Coach Tatom’s experience with wrestling started at the young age of 5 in Central California. After competing all through high school, Tatom joined the Navy and wrestled for the all Navy Team for 4 years.
